The backdrops for your pictures are important! Think about which spots in the city of your engagement shoot best reflect your personalities and energy; ideally, it is good if at least a few locations are personally meaningful to you as a couple.

PROPS CAN ADD BALANCE TO YOUR PHOTO SHOOT

Bring as many happy props as you can … and please do not underestimate their importance, for they can add fun, spice, and uniqueness to your day. Not only will creative props help distract you from being photographed, but they also offer a welcome balance to the kissing and affection photos. We used Champagne, confetti, funny sunglasses, two bouquets of colorful flowers, and bubbles.

PRACTICE KISSING THAT WILL TAKE THEIR BREATH AWAY

I don’t know about you, but we had never kissed in front of a camera before, and we were not sure how our kiss would actually look on film. Accordingly, we set up a video camera on our computer, practiced and recorded our kiss, and then watched our footage to see how we did. Ha, ha! I felt like such practice would pay handsome dividends when called upon to display affection in front of the lens of a relative stranger.
